A Mom’s story on her Daughter’s Wedding Cookie Table

Alisa, our wonderful contributor photographer, shared this story about Jessica’s Moms experience in April 2016.   Bride’s name:  Jessica Humanic Kovacs

“Pecan tassies and Russian torte because they were specialties of Jess’s late maternal grandmother. 36 dozen of pizzelles made by her paternal grandmother. Rolled and filled pizzelles because it’s a crowd favorite. The standards, chocolate chip, iced oatmeal, peanut butter, cheesecakes, fudge, nut rolls, pumpkin rolls, macaroons, apricot cold dough, nut twists, baklava, cookie dough truffles, wafer cookies, Carmel tassies, and many more. There were about 25 varieties that ranged from 8 to 12 dozen each. I would guess we had well over 3000 cookies. I made the majority but I had help from some great friends and family. My mom was the baker and I carried on her tradition. She is smiling down from heaven that someone recognized our hard work.”  From mother of the bride.
